Plot Summary

Today we worked on summarizing the plot by remembering

• Somebody (Character from the story)
• Wanted (What the character wanted)
• But (The conflict or problem the character encountered)
• So (The solution to the problem)

We made flip books to summarize the story A Turkey for Thanksgiving by Eve Bunting...

Mrs. Moose wanted a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner, but she did not have one, so Mr. Moose tracked one down.

Mr. Moose wanted to catch a turkey for Thanksgiving, but the turkey ran away, so he captured him and dragged him home.

Turkey wanted to hide out for Thanksgiving so he wouldn't be eaten, but Mr. Moose tracked him down and took him home, so he sat as a guest and enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with his new friends, Mr. and Mrs. Moose.
